No surprise, it's a GORGEOUS framework
The modularity for input, UI, character actions, enemy actions, etc all just "make sense" compared to anything I had done before or attempted to create on my own. Getting more insight into the C++ side of things was insightful, and I feel waaaay more comfortable navigating a codebase now, BUT the most valuable aspect for me has been the impact GAS has on my systems thinking.
After learning the overall sturcutre of GAS through this project, "How can I make this feature scalable and modular for future cases?" has become a common question in my mind. So common in fact that I've had to dial it back (I later learned this is common for new programmers -- YAGNI). Regardless, training my brain to expand these systems (and subsequently reign them in) has been a "game changing" habit.
